hola!
i'm so very happy to have found this site, contacting artizans interested in exploring a more natural way to use the goodness that surrounds us to furthe our art, in a respectful and friendly way of course.
i've been dyeing naturally for a couple of years now. amazingly, i've had much better luck with cellulose fibres than animal, but am slowly playing with techniques and methods to enhance my wool/silkish desires. finding india flint's site (her book is in the mail as i type this, wahoo…

I am currently chronicling the beauty of summer color in the garden, with the naturally dyed yarns emerging from my dye vats. What an incredible thrill as I pulled out these skeins from the logwood dye bath! This rich purple, much deeper than a lavender really, was obtained through…

It has finally arrived, Graduation day. All the work put into it will shine today. When I walk down the aisle I will be so happy and my friends and family will be there cheering me on. Friends which I have known all my life, some not so long but still they are the world to me. My family which I love dearly, who I wouldn't trade for anything.
The love I feel today is amazing and true. Finally the day has come. When I started this school year it seemed like it would never come. But now it is here…

When I think back on the 13 years of school I have gone through, there are so many memories which I will cherish forever. But there was hard times and disappointment as well. But it has been worth it all!
so tomorrow when I walk down the aisle to receive my high school diploma, I will be so happy for I have finally reached that milestone.
The preparation and work that we have put into this recently will all be over, and we will enjoy all that will take place.

A few months ago i got some annatto powder. I was able to color a piece of very light yellow fleece. I love the orange color it has. I need to figure out what to make out of it.I'll try to get a few pics of it up soon. I will have more time for dyeing in the summer. I enjoy it and love seeing all the wonderful colors.

Hello everone,

I'm natural dying since last summer and although i've learnt a lot, i realize there is so much more.
Especially since reading Indía's book Eco colour a whole new world opened up for me. Never thought there is so much color in one simple leaf.
So that's where i startet, with a handful of simple leafs and see where they get me. I will show some photo's of the results of this.
My other works you can…

Two days ago I did again a dye-experiment, like my first rustfufflescarf. At least I thought I did the same steps, but it came out very different. A little bit disappointed also. What happened. The materials I had used were chiffon, tea, floristbindwire and vinegar. Different was the…
