Why would you like to join Natural Surfaces?
I am a spinner and natural dyer and general naturalist at heart. I travel to beautiful places in the world and look for the dyeing practices there, the lichens and mushrooms that grow there, and the indigenous crafts that the people produce. I would like to share some of these stories and finds with other people and I'd like to know what other dyers are up to.
What is your experience with natural dyes, none is needed but knowing will help us to better meet your needs!
Many years experinece with plant dyes, mostly on wool. Some more recent experience dyeing fabrics of all sorts. An abiding interest in lichens, lichen dyes, and a more recent interest in mushroom dyes.
