Happy to be here Kimberly. Always fun to be connected with more Natural Dyers. And love the idea of another Mushroom dyeing Group. The colors that come with the mushroom dyes are so beautiful and so permanent. I have been working with Natural Dyes since the early 70's and many things have changed over this time. We use much less mordants, dyers are more fearful of the mordants, more beautiful colors have appeared, and the connection of dyers around the world has happened. I am happy with the Natural Dye Movement with the exception of the often hysteria of Mordanting. Like most things in life, it is safe if care is taken, and will offer you a glorious range of colors that you would not otherwise get. Will be interesting also to see where this new place will go. Thanks again Kimberly for the invite.
