I just noticed my Ladies Bedstraw is madly over growing into the woad patch. Tomorrow morning, I will cut it all back and put it into the pot to dye the weft for a blanket/cloak/experimental piece on the new warp weighted loom. The weft was going to be natural coloured but with that much dye plant begging to be used, I cannot dare to waste it. :)
Ladies Bedstraw or Yellow Bedstraw was used for yellows very early on, at least in Northern Europe.
